János Ferenczi
János Ferenczi (born 3 April 1991) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays as a left-back or a winger for Liga I club Csíkszereda. Club career Ferenczi played for his hometown team Debrecen in the early stages of his career as a midfielder. He was loaned out to lower-division teams twice before becoming a regular for DVSC. After 17 years, he signed for Romanian top-flight side Csíkszereda in 2025. International He made his debut for Hungary national football team on 5 September 2019 in a friendly against Montenegro, as a 61st-minute substitute for Mihály Korhut. The season began 27 July 2012 and ended on 2 June 2013. Debrecen were the defending champions having won their sixth Hungarian championship last season. Overview The championship was contested by 16 teams, and Győri-ETO won the title under headcoach Attila Pintér, for the fourth time in their history. Although the team from Rába-coast lost their first game 4-1 at the home of defending champions Debreceni VSC, Győr then went on an 18-game undefeated streak, winning 13 of those encounters. The NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams, though now it's just one league table with 16 teams as of the 2024–25 season. The champion and the runner-up will ascend to the first division while the two lowest teams in NB II are relegated to NB III. In the Groupama Aréna (Ferencvárosi TC, FTC) the goal-line technology was used. Videoton FC, Videoton won the league for the second time, under Joan Carillo, finishing 7 points above Ferencváros.
