Constantin Rădulescu (footballer, Born 1934)
Constantin "Costică" Rădulescu (17 April 1934 – 8 July 2002) was a Romanian footballer and manager. Playing career Rădulescu was born on 17 April 1934 in Comarnic and started his playing career in 1948 at local club, Vulturii. In 1949 he moved to Dinamo Brașov where he stayed until 1958, in the last year the team was playing in Cluj. He then signed with Dinamo Bacău, a team for which he would play the rest of his career which ended in 1966 when he scored a hat-trick against Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea, a game he did not finish on the field as he suffered a commotion. Even though he was a fan of Rapid București, he never got to play for them. Managerial career Rădulescu started his coaching career at Dinamo Bacău in 1966 at the request of his former coach, Constantin Teașcă who left the team, managing to promote it from Divizia B to Divizia A in his first year. Comarnic
Comarnic () is a town in Prahova County, Muntenia, Romania, with a population of 11,106 as of 2021. Four villages are administered by the town: Ghioșești, Podu Lung, Poiana, and Posada. Geography The town is situated in the southern foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, close to the interface between the Southern Carpathians and the Eastern Carpathians, at an altitude of . It lies towards the southern end of the Prahova Valley, along the Prahova River, in the main on the left bank, but with some of the component villages on the right bank of the river. Comarnic is located in the western part of Prahova County, northwest of the county seat, Ploiești. The Liga 2, most commonly spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07 football season. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company under the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Since its inception in 1934, Liga II has had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Ion Ionescu (footballer, Born 1936)
Ion V. "Jackie" Ionescu (2 May 1936 – 30 June 2024) was a Romanian football player and coach. He was mostly known for his coaching spells at Politehnica TimiÈ™oara with whom he won a Cupa României and reached three other finals, also eliminating Celtic in the 1980–81 European Cup Winners' Cup. Early life Ion Ionescu was born on 2 May 1936 in the Crai Nou village which is part of the Rudna commune from Romania. In 2016, during an interview with the ''Adevărul'' newspaper, he described his early life in Rudna:"I lived exclusively in Rudna, among Serbs. Angelo Niculescu
Angelo Niculescu (1 October 1921 – 20 June 2015) was a Romanian football player and manager. He is best remembered in Romania for being the national team's coach at the 1970 World Cup and for inventing the "temporizare" ("delaying") tactics in which the team keeps the possession of the ball inside its own half and the players are using many short passes from one side to another of the field in order to disrupt the opponents patience when they go out of their field to make pressing, this is also considered an early form of tiki-taka, with such tactics he managed to qualify Romania to a World Cup after more than 30 years and register a win against Czechoslovakia.
