2023 World Wrestling Championships
The 2023 World Wrestling Championships was held from 16 to 24 September 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia. Wrestlers get a chance to win 90 quotas for the 2024 Summer Olympics from the Belgrade Worlds. Any nation that participated in the 2023 continental championships was eligible to participate in the World Championships. Ismail Timurovich Musukaev (, ; born 28 January 1993) is a Russian-born Hungarian freestyle wrestler. A world champion and European champion, Musukaev represented Hungary at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan and at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France in the men's 65 kg event. Career He was the runner-up at the Russian nationals in 2015 at 57 kg. At the Russian nationals 2016 at the end of the 57 kg quarterfinal wrestling match between Lebedev and Musukaev the referees awarded the victory to Viktor Lebedev. Vladimeri Gamkrelidze (born 11 June 2001) is a Georgian freestyle wrestler. He won the silver medal in the men's 79kg event at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. Career Gamkrelidze won the bronze medal at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary by defeating Armenian Arman Avagyan 9–7 in the third place match in the 79 kg freestyle category. Khetag Nikolayevich Tsabolov (, ; born 17 November 1991), also known as Khetik Tsabolov (), is a Russian and Serbian freestyle wrestler who competes at 74 kilograms. After competing for Russia throughout his career, Tsabolov transferred to Serbia in February 2021, and has since represented the latter. Kyle Douglas Dake (born February 25, 1991) is an American freestyle wrestler and graduated folkstyle wrestler who competes at 74 kilograms. He is a four-time World Champion, winning back-to-back titles twice, at 79 kilos in 2018 and 2019 and 74 kilos in 2021 and 2022.
