Arman Andreasyan
Arman Andreasyan is an Armenian freestyle wrestler. He is a bronze medalist at the World Wrestling Championships and three-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships. Career Andreasyan won one of the bronze medals in the men's 70kg event at the 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2021, Andreasyan won one of the bronze medals in the men's 70kg at the European Wrestling Championships held in Warsaw, Poland. Two weeks later, he failed to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan at the World Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Sofia, Bulgaria. In October 2021, he lost his bronze medal match in the men's 70kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway. The 2021 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held from 2 to 10 October 2021 in Oslo, Norway. The event was subsequent to the 2019 World Championships due to the cancelation of the 2020 edition during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Individual World Cup was held as replacement for the World Wrestling Championships. 2022 World Wrestling Championships
The 2022 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held between 10 and 18 September 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. The UWW Bureau approved the candidature of Belgrade, Serbia as the host of the 2023 Senior World Championships. However, due to the restrictions on Russian Federation, Russia for hosting World Championships in 2021–2022, Belgrade replaced the former city of Krasnoyarsk as the World Championships host for 2022. In addition, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been banned from 2022 World Championships. 2021 World Wrestling Championships – Men's Freestyle 70 Kg
The men's freestyle 70 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships, and was held in Oslo, Norway on 4 and 5 October. This freestyle wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals. Each wrestler who loses to one of the two finalists moves into the repechage, culminating in a pair of bronze medal matches featuring the semifinal losers each facing the remaining repechage opponent from their half of the bracket. The 2021 World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament was the last wrestling qualification tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. The event was held from 6 to 9 May 2021, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Qualification summary A total of 36 athletes secured a spot in the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo, Japan. Two spots were given to each of the weight classes in every event. This allows a total of 12 available spots for each event.
