The Texas Longhorns men's golf team has a strong golf tradition, dating back to their first season in 1927. Since then they have won national titles back-to-back in 1971 and 1972, again in 2012 and the most recent in 2022, and finished runner-up six other times (1949, 1983, 1989, 1994, 2016, 2019).
