Ben Hogan Award
The Ben Hogan Award is an annual prize given by Friends of Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America, since 1990, to the best college golf player in the United States. The Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas joined the organization in 2001. Since 2005, the award winner is named at a ceremony prior to the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial and is invited to the following year's tournament. Winners {, class="wikitable sortable" ! The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) is a non-profit organization that is a professional association of men’s collegiate golf coaches. Doug Ghim
Doug Ghim (born April 16, 1996) is an American professional golfer who grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois and graduated from Buffalo Grove High School. In May 2018, Ghim became the top-ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Amateur career Ghim competed at the 2016 Arnold Palmer Cup. Ghim was runner-up at the 2017 U.S. Amateur to earn invitations to the 2018 Masters Tournament and U.S. Open. He also won the 2017 Pacific Coast Amateur. From a team perspective, Ghim competed at the 2017 Arnold Palmer Cup and 2017 Walker Cup. At the 2018 Masters, Ghim scored multiple eagles to earn an award of two pairs of crystal goblets. Kyle Stanley
Kyle Stanley (born November 19, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Stanley was born in Gig Harbor, Washington. He was a 2002 graduate of St. Charles Borromeo elementary and middle school and a 2006 graduate of Bellarmine Preparatory School (both Catholic schools located in Tacoma, Washington). As a freshman at Clemson University, he established 18 individual scoring records. During his college career he has won the 2006 Aloha Purdue Collegiate and the 2008 Carpet Classic. Nick Taylor (golfer)
Nick Taylor (born April 14, 1988) is a Canadian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour where he has won twice. Early life and amateur career Taylor was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia. His home golf course is Ledgeview Golf and Country Club. He graduated from the University of Washington and won the 2007 Canadian Amateur Championship. In 2008, Taylor qualified for the U.S. Open, in which he missed the cut by three strokes. Peter Uihlein
Peter Uihlein ( ; born August 29, 1989) is an American professional golfer who formerly played on the PGA Tour and the European Tour and now plays LIV Golf. He was a member of the victorious U.S. team at the 2009 Walker Cup, where he compiled a 4–0 match record. Uihlein won the 2010 U.S. Amateur and is a former number one ranked amateur golfer in the world. Patrick Cantlay (born March 17, 1992) is an American professional golfer. He had a successful amateur career and was the number one golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 55 weeks. The Washington Huskies are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Washington, located in Seattle. The school competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Pac-12 Conference. Washington students, sports teams, and alumni are called Huskies.
