2015 Walker Cup
The 45th Walker Cup Match was played on 12 and 13 September 2015 at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, England. Great Britain and Ireland won 16½ to 9½. Format On Saturday, there are four matches of foursomes in the morning and eight singles matches in the afternoon. On Sunday, there are again four matches of foursomes in the morning, followed by ten singles matches in the afternoon. In all, 26 matches are played. Each of the 26 matches is worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match is all square after the 18th hole extra holes are not played. Rather, each side earns ½ a point toward their team total. The team that accumulates at least 13½ points wins the competition. In the event of a tie, the current holder retains the Cup. The Western Amateur is a leading annual golf tournament in the United States for male amateur golfers. It is organized by the Western Golf Association. Mequon () is the largest city in Ozaukee County, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, and the third-largest city in Wisconsin by land area. Jordan Niebrugge (born August 4, 1993) is an American professional golfer. Early life Niebrugge was born just outside St. Louis in Bridgeton, Missouri. Portola Valley is a town in San Mateo County, California. Maverick Scott McNealy (born November 7, 1995) is an American professional golfer and 2018 graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Management Science and Engineering. Mike McCoy (golfer)
Michael McCoy (born November 21, 1962) is an American amateur golfer from West Des Moines, Iowa. McCoy is an insurance executive and is also the 2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur champion. He won the honor in 2013 in Birmingham, Alabama. As U.S. Mid-Amateur champion, McCoy was invited to the 2014 Masters Tournament. He shot 78-83=161 to miss the cut. McCoy was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and his son Nate, also an amateur golfer, currently acts as his caddy. McCoy's ancestors originally came to the United States from Ireland in the early 1900s, settling first in Pennsylvania before moving to Iowa. Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. Lee McCoy (born February 5, 1994) is an American professional golfer. He played his college golf at the University of Georgia and currently plays professionally on the Korn Ferry Tour. He previously played on the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada. Amateur career McCoy was born in Dunedin, Florida, to Terry and Cheryl McCoy.
