Čokolešnik
Čokolešnik is a primarily children's food made by Podravka, a food company from Croatia. Ingredients Čokolešnik is a food primarily intended for children over the age of four months but is often consumed by adults as well. It has high nutrition value made out of 60.2% wheat flour, 6% chocolate in powder and 2% hazelnuts. The rest of ingredients are vitamins ( B1, B2, B6, and B12). It may contain milk but does not require any kind of cooking. History It was first produced since 1980 by the Slovenian company Droga Kolinska, as part of a "Bebi" program of instant porridges with many flavors, including "rižko" (with rice), "medenko" (with honey), "karamelko" (with caramel), "vanilko" (with vanilla) and "čoko" (with chocolate), among others. The most popular flavors of these, Čokolešnik and Čoko, survived to this day and continue to be the two main brands of this product. Podravka
Podravka d.d. is a Croatian food company based in Koprivnica. Founded in 1934, today it is one of the largest food companies in Southeast Europe. History 1934–1990 The brothers Marijan and Matija Wolf founded the company on 14 June 1934. At the time, the firm was a fruit factory. When the communists under Tito took power in 1947 the company was nationalized and received its current name. In 1949, Podravka started producing fruit jam. In 1952 new products were released on the market: once a fruit factory Podravka now started producing candy, mustard, ketchup, fruit brandy and canned meat. Slovenian Cuisine
Slovenian cuisine ( sl, slovenska kuhinja) is influenced by the diversity of Slovenia's landscape, climate, history and neighbouring cultures. In 2016, the leading Slovenian ethnologists divided the country into 24 gastronomic regions. The first Slovene-language cookbook was published by Valentin Vodnik in 1798. Croatian cuisine is heterogeneous and is known as a cuisine of the regions, since every region of Croatia has its own distinct culinary tradition. Its roots date back to ancient times. Vegeta (condiment)
Vegeta is a condiment which is a mixture primarily of salt with flavour enhancers, spices and various vegetables developed in 1959 by a Bosnian Croat scientist Zlata Bartl, and has become a product sold worldwide. Vegeta is produced by Podravka, a company from Koprivnica, Croatia, as well as a subsidiary of Podravka in Poland and two Vegeta licensees from Austria and Hungary. There have been around 50 instances of other companies attempting to reproduce the product. Vegeta was conceived in 1958 in Podravka's laboratories and professor Paul Ivanić was head of the team that developed it. The product was first sold in Yugoslavia in 1959 as "Vegeta 40". Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin involved in metabolism. It is one of eight B vitamins.
