This is a list of cemetery, cemeteries in the People's Republic of China. Many others—particularly in central urban areas—were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution of the late 1960s and 1970s, which regularized the use of cremation even in the cases of religious minorities such as the Hui Chinese, Hui. A cemetery, burial ground, gravesite or graveyard is a place where the remains of dead people are buried or otherwise interred. The word ''cemetery'' (from Greek , "sleeping place") implies that the land is specifically designated as a burial ground and originally applied to the Roman catacombs. Inner Mongolia
Inner Mongolia, officially the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is an autonomous region of the People's Republic of China. Soong Ching-ling
Rosamond Soong Ch'ing-ling (27 January 189329 May 1981) was a Chinese political figure. As the third wife of Sun Yat-sen, then Premier of the Kuomintang and President of the Republic of China, she was often referred to as Madame Sun Yat-sen. She was a member of the Soong family and, together with her siblings, played a prominent role in China's politics prior to and after 1949. Foochow Mission Cemetery
Foochow Mission Cemetery (; Foochow Romanized: ''Iòng-muó-dìng'') was a Protestant cemetery once located on the north and south side of a hill at the west end of Maiyuan Road, Cangshan District, Fuzhou, China. Covering an area of about , Foochow Mission Cemetery had been the burial ground for the Western Protestant missionaries, medical practitioners and consuls who died in Fuzhou (then known as Foochow) since the founding of the Mission in 1847. Until 1949 there were more than 400 burials, with all tombs in size and neatly aligned. The cemetery was demolished during the Cultural Revolution.
