''The Extra'' (Spanish: ''El extra'') is a 1962 Mexican comedy film directed by Miguel M. Delgado and starring Cantinflas and Alma Delia Fuentes. In the film, Cantinflas plays a man who works as an Extra (acting), extra through several films. This was the last Cantinflas film whose art direction was made by long-time set designer Gunther Gerzso. Plot Rogaciano (Cantinflas) is the modest worker of a Mexican film studio, who performs several roles as an Extra (acting), extra in the films shot there. ''Extra'' (stylized as "extr@") is a language education television program franchise that was scripted in the format of a ''Friends''-esque sitcom. It was in production from 2002 to 2004, and is mainly marketed to the instructional television market for middle school and high school language classes. Four versions were made, each in a different language; English, French, German, and Spanish. The English version was co-produced by Channel 4 Learning and RAI CPTO (Production Centre of Turin) for RAI Educational. All of the episodes were written by Louise Clover. Plot The English version has 30 episodes, and the other three languages have 13 episodes each. The plot of the 13 episodes is nearly the same in all the language variants. Pibb Xtra is a reformulation of Mr. Pibb (sometimes styled as Mr. PiBB), a soft drink created and marketed by The Coca-Cola Company. It has several variants. Extra is a Norwegian discount supermarket chain of 535 stores as of 2021. It is part of the Coop Norge cooperative and was until late 2015 named Coop Extra. The chain markets itself as being low-cost while maintaining large stores with a wide selection of items. The chain director of Extra is Daniel Kyrre Pedersen. Coop Extra was established in 2006, with its first store opening on 15 September in Halden. The chain expanded rapidly, much of it by rebranding other Coop stores such as Coop Prix. Extra was a retail store chain in the German food sector that belonged to the REWE Group since July 1, 2008. The company was formerly part of Metro Group.
