Django Django are a British art rock band based in London, England. Formed in 2009, the band has released five studio albums starting with their self-titled debut in 2012. Their latest album '' Off Planet'' was released on 16 June 2023. Jack Peñate (; born 2 September 1984) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. Early life Peñate was born in London on 2 September 1984, the son of an English mother and Spanish father. His maternal grandfather was author Mervyn Peake. He attended St. Olave's Preparatory School in New Eltham and Alleyn's School in Dulwich, then began studying for a bachelor's degree in Ancient World Studies at University College London, but dropped out at the end of the second year as interest from record labels grew. Rebecca Lucy Taylor (born 15 October 1986), also known by her stage name as Self Esteem, is an English singer-songwriter and actress. The inspiration for her stage name comes from the evolution of Taylor's confidence from her early 20s. Early life Taylor was born in Rotherham, England. Her father was a steelworker, and her mother was a secretary. Career Taylor was previously a member of folk duo Slow Club, which formed in Sheffield in 2006. The band consisted of multi-instrumentalists Charles Watson and Taylor, with Watson on the piano, Taylor on the drums, and both performing guitars and vocals.
