Zhangpu
Zhangpu County () is a county of Zhangzhou prefecture-level city in far southern Fujian province, People's Republic of China. The county seat is located in the town of Sui'an (). Zhangpu is bordered by the Longhai City in the north, the counties of Pinghe and Yunxiao in the west, and the Taiwan Strait in the south and east. Gulei Town
Gulei () is a town in Zhangpu County in the far south of Fujian province, China. It lies on a long peninsula, also called Gulei, which projects into the Taiwan Strait, enclosing the Zhang River estuary / Dongshan Bay to its east. The town is the furthest south of any in Zhangpu, one of its villages (called Gulei) being only from the main island of Dongshan. By 2017, Gulei town and the entire Gulei peninsula have been cleared of population for the construction of the Tenglong Chemical Complex. She People
The She people (; Shehua: ; Cantonese: , Fuzhou: ) are an ethnic group in China. They form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China. The She are the largest ethnic minority in Fujian, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi Provinces. They are also present in the provinces of Anhui and Guangdong. Some descendants of the She also exist amongst the Hakka minority in Taiwan. Zhangzhou (), alternately romanized as Changchow, is a prefecture-level city in Fujian Province, China. The prefecture around the city proper comprises the southeast corner of the province, facing the Taiwan Strait and surrounding the prefecture of Xiamen. Name Zhangzhou is the atonal pinyin romanization of the city's Chinese name , using its pronunciation in Standard Mandarin. Liu'ao, Zhangpu County
The Liu'ao Peninsula () is located in the southern part of China's Fujian Province's coast. Administratively, it is incorporated as Liu'ao Town () within Fujian's Zhangpu County. Geography Liu'ao Peninsula is about 12 km long, stretched along the north-south axis. In the north, it is connected to the mainland by a fairly narrow isthmus. Its western coast is separated from Fujian's mainland by the shallow Jiuzhen Bay; its eastern coast and southern coasts face the open sea (Taiwan Strait). Most of the peninsula is flat and sandy. However, it also incorporates several rocky hills. It is the outlines of these hills which may have given the peninsula its name, which means "six '' ao''".
