Zeynep Tokuş
Zeynep Tokuş (born 1977) is a Turkish actress and former beauty pageant winner. In 2007, she won the title of the TV show Turkish version of ''Dancing on Ice''. Biography Tokuş was educated in graphic design at the Bilkent University in Ankara. In 1998, she became the winner of the beauty contest of the newspaper ''Star'', and received thereupon a role in the movie ''Deli Yürek''. In 2001, Tokuş was awarded the "Best Actress" for her role in the movie ''Yazgı''. On 11 March 2007, she won the title and a prize of TRY 100,000 in the Show TV show ''Buzda Dans'' ('' Dancing on Ice''), after competing ten weeks. Her partner was the American figure skater Robert Beauchamp, a former ''Holiday On Ice'' performer. Holiday on Ice is an ice show currently owned by Medusa Music Group GmbH, a subsidiary of CTS EVENTIM, Europe's largest ticket distributor, with its headquarters in Bremen, Germany. History Holiday on Ice originated in the United States in December 1942. It was the brainchild of Emery Gilbert of Toledo, Ohio, an engineer and builder who created a portable ice rink. He took his idea of a traveling show to Morris Chalfen, a Minneapolis executive, who supplied the financing, and George Tyson, who used his theatrical background to create the show. The touring show made its first international trip to Mexico in 1947. In 1946, the company expanded with another ice show and secondary unit, "Ice Vogues", which took over the Holiday's last season's production and extended it for another year making stops in Cuba and Hawaii. Robert Beauchamp (1923 – 22 March 1995) was an American figurative painter and arts educator. Beauchamp's paintings and drawings are known for depicting dramatic creatures and figures with expressionistic colors. His work was described in the New York Times as being "both frightening and amusing,". He was a Guggenheim Fellow and a student of Hans Hofmann. Early life and education Robert Beauchamp was born in Denver, Colorado in 1923. He had three brothers and three sisters; the children were orphaned by the time Beauchamp was three. Show TV is a nationwide television channel in Turkey owned by Albayrak Holding since 2018, acquired from Sadık Albayrak which in turn seized from Ciner Media Group after Turgay Ciner was forced to sell due to tax debts. The channel replaces Cine5's now-defunct frequencies, and it was originally established by the Turkish businessmen Erol Aksoy and Haldun Simavi, although it were originally launched on March 1, 1991, when it commences its test transmissions. A year later, the channel moved its headquarters to Istanbul, Turkey, and were at the same time starting its official broadcasts.
