Zerobaseone (; stylized in all caps; abbreviated as ZB1) is a South Korean boy band formed through Mnet's reality competition ''Boys Planet'' in 2023. They are managed by WakeOne. The group is composed of nine members: Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook and Han Yu-jin. They debuted on July 10, 2023, with the extended play '' Youth in the Shade'' and will be active for 2 years and 6 months. Name Zerobaseone represents the "journey of the nine trainees to be completed as one after their debut". It refers to the "glorious beginning" of the nine members, starting from zero (0) and ending with one (1). And implies the members' commitment to share with their fans the unfinished journey of their group from zero to one. Zerobaseone is abbreviated as ZB1. Youth In The Shade
''Youth in the Shade'' is the debut extended play by South Korean boy group Zerobaseone. It was released on July 10, 2023, by WakeOne and comprises six tracks, with "In Bloom" serving as the lead single. Background and release Zerobaseone was formed through ''Boys Planet'', a reality competition show, which aired from February 2 to April 20, 2023. The group's final members were announced on the show's finale, which was broadcast live on April 20. A spoiler film for the album, titled "Youth in the Shade", was uploaded on May 14 and a title poster was released on June 7. The first teaser for "In Bloom" was released on July 6 and an album sampler, with audio snippets of each song, was released on July 8. The second teaser for "In Bloom" was released on July 9. Kim Ji-woong (; born December 14, 1998), is a South Korean singer and actor. Kim is best known for competing on the reality competition show ''Boys Planet'' where he ranked 8th in the final episode, earning him a spot in the South Korean boy band Zerobaseone. Prior to this, Kim was a member of the boy group INX under the name Jinam until their disbandment in 2017. He made his debut as an actor in the web series ''The Sweet Blood'' (2021), and is best known for his roles in ''Kissable Lips'' (2022), ''Roommates of Poongduck 304'' (2022) and ''The Good Bad Mother'' (2023).
