Zero Motivation
''Zero Motivation'' (Hebrew title: אפס ביחסי אנוש, ''Zero on Interpersonal Relations'') is a 2014 Israeli black comedy film directed by Talya Lavie. The film premiered at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival where it received two awards. It was nominated for twelve Ophir Awards, and won six of them including prizes for writer/director Talya Lavie (although it was not awarded Best Film). It was the most successful Israeli film of 2014, seen by 590,000 people in Israel alone. Plot Zohar and Daffi are two soldiers trying to serve out their mandatory service with the IDF. On their way back to base after the weekend Daffi bumps into a new girl Tehila and, believing that she is her replacement, takes her under her wing. Talya Lavie
Talya Lavie (born 1978) is an Israeli filmmaker best known for her 2014 debut feature, '' Zero Motivation''. Early life Lavie attended the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design as well as the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem. While attending the schools she produced three shorts which were screened at numerous international film festivals, and won prizes at Locarno International Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival. Career In 2006 she created a 19-minute short called ''The Substitute'' which played at the Tribeca Film Festival about a young woman working for the IDF. This short was later developed into a feature-length film, '' Zero Motivation''. In 2010 she participated in the Sundance Institute Feature Film Program Screenwriters' Lab, and in 2011 she participated in the Sundance Institute prestigious Directors' Lab. HaKirya, or The Kirya ( he, הַקִּרְיָה, ''lit.'' The Campus), is an area in central Tel Aviv, consisting of an urban military base north of Kaplan Street, and a civilian area south of it. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang.
