HaKirya, or The Kirya ( he, הַקִּרְיָה, ''lit.'' The Campus), is an area in central Tel Aviv, consisting of an urban military base north of Kaplan Street, and a civilian area south of it. HaKirya contains the Tel Aviv District's government center and the major Israel Defense Forces (IDF) base Camp Rabin ( he, מַחֲנֶה רַבִּין, ''Mahaneh Rabin''), named for Yitzhak Rabin. It was one of the first IDF bases and has served as the IDF's headquarters since its founding in 1948. Keren HaKiriya Building Complex
The Keren HaKirya building complex is a proposed set of buildings in Tel Aviv, Israel. It will comprise 80-story and 50-story office towers and two 45-story residential towers that will stand above a two-story retail mall. It will be situated at the intersection of Begin Road and Sha'ul HaMelekh Street in the city's Midtown business district on an area of 38 dunams (9.5 acres). Kirya Tower
HaYovel Tower ( he, מגדל היובל, , Jubilee Tower) also known as Kiryat HaMemshala Tower ( he, מגדל קריית הממשלה, , Government Complex Tower) is a skyscraper in Tel Aviv, Israel. At 158 m (42 floors), it is the 20th tallest building in Israel. Construction was completed in 2005 on land previously belonging to the IDF HaKirya base. The tower is located near the Tel Aviv's tallest skyscraper cluster, the Azrieli Center complex, and is occupied largely by government offices. The consolidation of many of these offices in the tower, which were previously spread out all over the Tel Aviv district, allowed the release of a considerable amount of high-value government land to private development, as well as introducing efficiencies from housing many government functions under one roof. Marganit Tower
The Marganit Tower is a skyscraper located in HaKirya, Tel Aviv, Israel. Completed in 1987, the building is in height, although most of this is due to its "finger", a concrete mast with antennas and other transmission equipment. As such, it only has 17 floors. Now Israel's twelfth-tallest building, upon completion it was the country's second-tallest building. It was designed by ASSA Architects. Marganit Tower is slanted to the right-hand side, a fact that was discovered in the middle of construction on April 5, 1989. Begin Road
Begin Road is a major thoroughfare in Tel Aviv, Israel. It begins at Allenby Street and runs to its northern end which is at Arlozorov Interchange on Ayalon Highway. There is one interchange along Begin Road, Kaplan Interchange, located near Azrieli Center and Tel Aviv HaShalom railway station, with two lanes in each direction passing under Kaplan Street. Another interchange, Ma'ariv Bridge, was demolished on August 21, 2015, as part of the works to build the Carlebach station of Tel Aviv Light Rail. Yitzhak Rabin
Yitzhak Rabin (; he, יִצְחָק רַבִּין, ; 1 March 1922 – 4 November 1995) was an Israeli politician, statesman and general. He was the fifth Prime Minister of Israel, serving two terms in office, 1974–77, and from 1992 until his assassination in 1995. Sarona, Palestine
Sarona is a neighborhood of Tel Aviv, Israel which started as a German Templer Colony in Palestine in 1871.Jaffa: A City in Evolution: 1799-1917, Ruth Kark, p.91 It was one of the earliest modern villages established by Europeans in Ottoman Palestine.
