Yewlands School Technology College
Yewlands Academy (formerly known as Yewlands Secondary School and Yewlands Technology College) is a secondary school with academy status located in the Grenoside area of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Until March 2018, it was managed by the Wakefield City Academies Trust. Following the collapse of the trust, it was taken over by the Brigantia Learning Trust who manage the nearby schools Hinde House School and Longley Park Sixth Form. The school was originally located on three sites; Elm, Yew and Willow. The school was rebuilt as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme and reopened in September 2009. The school has under 900 students. Academy (English School)
An academy school in England is a state-funded school which is directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. The terms of the arrangements are set out in individual Academy Funding Agreements. Most academies are secondary schools, though slightly more than 25% of primary schools (4,363 as of December 2017) are academies. South Yorkshire

Grenoside
Grenoside is a suburb of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The suburb falls within the West Ecclesfield ward of the city. History The name Grenoside is derived from the language of the Anglo-Saxons. The name Grenoside, which was first recorded in the thirteenth century as Gravenhou, is made up of the different elements. Gren from the Old English (Anglo-Saxon) ''graefan'' meaning a quarry. ‘o’ from the Old Norse ''haugr'' meaning hill and the modern word side, altogether meaning a quarried hillside. In Norman and later documents, it is named as ''Gravenho'' (1199) and ''Gravenhowe'' (1332). This name is made from the Saxon word elements of ''Grave'' meaning "to dig" and ''How'' meaning Hollow. Hinde House School
Hinde House School is a mixed all-through school for pupils aged 3 to 16. The school is located in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Hinde House was the first state-funded all-through school for both primary and secondary school education in the country. In 2005, the school moved to a new building and expanded its primary provision in 2012. In July 2013, the school converted to academy status and is now part of the Brigantia Learning Trust which includes the nearby Concord Junior School and Wincobank Nursery and Infant School. Longley Park Sixth Form is a 16-18 academy and was previously a further education sixth form in the Longley area of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is not to be confused with the multi-campus Sheffield College. Longley Park Sixth Form was established in 2004 with circa 1,200 students enrolled. It is part of the Brigantia Learning Trust, an academies partnership with feeder school Hinde House 3-16 School. History It opened to the public and to students in September 2004 at a cost of £8.5 million.
