Yu Yaodong
Yu Yaodong (; 1951–2012) was a badminton player from People's Republic of China. Career Yu Yaodong was born in 1951 in Dongguan, Guangdong. He entered the Guangzhou Amateur Sports School in 1961 then entered the Guangdong team in 1965 and was finally selected for the national team in 1972. At the second ever Badminton World Championships (first by World Badminton Federation) held in Thailand in 1978, Yaodong defeated his teammate Han Jian in the men's singles final and became the first ever badminton world champion in Chinese history. Later, he along with Hou Jiachang won the title of men's doubles World Champion as well. On the day of the final, Deng Xiaoping came to the scene to watch the game and presented the award to Yu Yaodong. Yu (Chinese Surname)

Fu Haifeng
Fu Haifeng (born 23 August 1983) is a Chinese former badminton player. He is regarded as one of the greatest men's doubles players of all time. Sport career Combining Fu Haifeng's impressive power with his regular partner Cai Yun's impressive speed, Cai and Fu have been one of the world's leading men's doubles teams since 2004. They have won numerous top tier events on the world circuit including the venerable All England Open Championships in 2005 and 2009 and the BWF World Championships in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Ade Chandra (; born 4 February 1950) is a retired Chinese Indonesian badminton player. Career A doubles specialist of ample bulk by Indonesian standards, he was noted for his power and quick defensive reflexes. Yao Ximing
Yao Ximing (; born September 15, 1956) is a former badminton player from China and current coach at the Vancouver Racquet Club in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Career A doubles specialist, Yao and partner Sun Zhian captured the men's doubles title at the 1979 World Championships in Hangzhou run by the short-lived World Badminton Federation, a China-led organization then in competition with the older International Badminton Federation. When the political complaints against the International Badminton Federation were resolved, Yao and Sun won men's doubles at the 1981 World Games in Santa Clara, California, the first major IBF sanctioned tournament in which China's players participated. Sun Zhian
Sun Zhian (; born 1956) is a Chinese former badminton player and coach. He is the gold medalist in World Games in 1981 and a former World Champion. Early life and career Sun Zhian was born in 1956 in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. In 1970, 14-year-old Sun Zhian entered the junior high school of No. 32 Middle School in Suzhou. One day, Zhang Weidao, a physical education teacher, approached him and informed him that he was selected to go to Nanjing for a training camp. If he was qualified, he was expected to become a member of the Jiangsu badminton team. Sun started playing badminton at the age of 14 with no former training. Sarit Pisudchaikul
Field Marshal Sarit Thanarat (also spelt ''Dhanarajata''; th, สฤษดิ์ ธนะรัชต์, ; 16 June 1908 – 8 December 1963) was a Thai general who staged a coup in 1957, replacing Plaek Phibunsongkhram as Thailand's prime minister until Sarit died in 1963.
