Wiedenborstel
Wiedenborstel is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Geography The village is located approximately 12 km north of Kellinghusen, and 10 km west of Neumünster, in the middle of Aukrug Nature Park. Hamburg is 75 km south. Demographics Wiedenborstel was the least populated municipality in Germany with only eight inhabitants. All of the inhabitants belong to the same family. In 1910, Wiedenborstel had 119 inhabitants. Officially, by 31 December 2012, there were twelve inhabitants. It was no longer the least populous municipality in Germany, having lost that distinction to Gröde (with eleven inhabitants), and tied with Dierfeld (also with twelve). Kellinghusen is an ''Amt'' ("collective municipality") in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Its seat is in Kellinghusen and in the ''Amt'' is situated the lesser-populated settlement of the nation, Wiedenborstel. History Before 1 January 2008, when it was joined by the (previously ''Amt''-free) town Kellinghusen and the municipalities Hohenlockstedt and Lockstedt from the former ''Amt'' Hohenlockstedt, it was named Kellinghusen-Land. Aukrug Nature Park
The Aukrug Nature Park (german: Naturpark Aukrug) is a nature park in north Germany with an area of . It lies in the centre of the state of Schleswig-Holstein in the region of Holstein (districts of Rendsburg-Eckernförde and Steinburg). It is sponsored by an association formed by the 2 districts. Location The nature park lies near Neumünster only a few kilometres west of the A 7 motorway. Two landscape forms occur in the park: the flat and pure loamy ground moraine landscape and the considerably more subdivided push moraine landscape, that rises to about 80 metres above NN. Steinburg
Steinburg () is a district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, administered from Itzehoe. It is bounded by (from the west and clockwise) the districts of Dithmarschen, Rendsburg-Eckernförde, Segeberg and Pinneberg, and by the Elbe River (and the district of Stade beyond). History The district's name is derived from a medieval castle called Steinburg, where the reeves ruled by order of their lords, the dukes of Holstein. This castle was first mentioned in 1307, and it was abandoned and demolished in 1630. However, Steinburg remained the name of the region, and its new centre became Glückstadt before gradually moving to the town of Itzehoe. When Schleswig-Holstein became a province of Prussia in 1867, the district of Steinburg was established. The borders remained unchanged until 1970 when the newly founded town Schenefeld (formerly part of Rendsburg district) joined Steinburg. Kellinghusen () is a town in the district of Steinburg in the ''Bundesland'' of Schleswig-Holstein. Geography Kellinghusen is located northeast of Itzehoe on both sides of the Stör River. The federal highway Bundesstraße 206 passes Kellinghusen in the south. Kellinghusen is connected with the Bundesautobahn 7 in the east and the Bundesautobahn 23 in the west. Neumünster () is a city in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. With more than 79,000 registered inhabitants, it is the fourth-largest municipality in Schleswig-Holstein (behind Kiel, Lübeck and Flensburg). History The city was first formally mentioned as ''Wippendorp im Gau Faldera'' in 1127. In that year, the Bishop Vicelinus was sent there by the Archbishop of Bremen to perform missionary work. Gröde (; da, Grøde, North Frisian language, North Frisian ''Groue'') is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
