Wang Jiong (politician)
Wang Jiong (; born September 1964) is a Chinese politician, and current chair of the Chongqing branch of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He began his political career as an administrator at Wuhan Steel. He was previously the Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Henan province. Life and career Wang was born in Huaibin County, Henan. He studied at the Wuhan Steel College (later Wuhan University of Science and Technology). He joined the Communist Party of China in November 1984, and began work in July 1985. After graduating, he was assigned to work as a cold mill technician at Wuhan Steel, a large state-owned enterprise. He rose through the ranks at the steel mill, being put in charge of production, then quality control. Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference
The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC, zh, 中国人民政治协商会议), also known as the People's PCC (, ) or simply the PCC (), is a political advisory body in the People's Republic of China and a central part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s United Front system. Its members advise and put proposals for political and social issues to government bodies. However, the CPPCC is a body without real legislative power. While consultation does take place, it is supervised and directed by the CCP. Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO) is a Chinese state-owned enterprise. It started to operate in 1958 in Qingshan, Wuhan, Hubei, China. It was administered by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), but in 2016 it was merged with fellow SASAC supervised steel maker Baosteel Group. Deng Kai (; born December 1959) is a Chinese politician currently serving as the deputy party secretary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. He was previously deputy Party Secretary of Henan province. He worked for most of his career in Jilin province. Biography Deng Kai was born in Gai County, Liaoning in 1959. He attended Jilin University and obtained a degree in Chinese literature; he also has a master's degree in economics. He joined the workforce in July 1984.
