Tytherington, Cheshire
Tytherington is an area in the north of Macclesfield in Cheshire, England. It comprises a large residential housing estate and has a churchTytherington Family Worship Church an academy school, Tytherington School and a golf club. Tytherington Wood forms part of Macclesfield Riverside Park. Tytherington Business Park lies to the north-east. Manchester Road divides the housing estate, the "Dorchester Way area" being to the west and "Rugby Drive area" to the east. Rugby Drive derives its name from Macclesfield Rugby Club, since relocated to Prestbury. The rugby pitch remains but is used predominantly for football. Tytherington has become a relatively affluent residential area, the average house price being around £320,000. Ladies European Tour
The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors. The tour is run by a Board of Directors and a Players' Council. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally. The tour operates tournaments across five continents. History The U.S.-based LPGA was founded in 1950, but women's professional golf was slower to get established in Europe. Stroke play, also known as medal play, is a scoring system in the sport of golf in which the total number of strokes is counted over one or more rounds of 18 holes. In stroke play, the winner is the player who has taken the fewest strokes over the course of the round, or rounds. Karen Lunn
Karen Marie Lunn (born 21 March 1966) is an Australian professional golfer. She turned professional in 1985 and has spent much of her career on the Ladies European Tour, where she has won several tournaments including a Women's British Open title in 1993 (before that tournament was an LPGA major championship). She topped the Order of Merit in 1993. In 2004, Lunn was named the Ladies European Tour's Chairman of the Board. She was born in Sydney, Australia, and now lives in Surrey, England. Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Patricia Meunier-Lebouc (born 16 November 1972) is a French former professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. Her birth name was Meunier and she is married to Antoine Lebouc, a French professional golfer who played on the European Tour in the 1990s. Amateur career Meunier was born in Dijon, France. She won the French Cup and the Greece International in 1993. In 1992, she won the French Ladies Championship, placed fifth in the World Team Championship and finished third at the European Team Junior Championship. Tania Abitbol (born 21 January 1965) is a professional golfer from Spain, who competed on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. Career As an amateur, Abitol won the 1985 Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship. She competed internationally on the Spanish National Team, and finish 3rd at the 1987 European Ladies' Team Championship. Anna Iliana Maria Gabriella Oxenstierna (born 13 June 1963) is a former Swedish professional golfer. She played on the Ladies European Tour and won the 1989 TEC Players Championship. Early life Born into an athletic and golfing family, her father Thure Gabriel Oxenstierna is the architect of Roslagen Golf Club where her brother Alexander later were general manager.
