Tania Abitbol
Tania Abitbol (born 21 January 1965) is a professional golfer from Spain, who competed on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. Career As an amateur, Abitol won the 1985 Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship. She competed internationally on the Spanish National Team, and finish 3rd at the 1987 European Ladies' Team Championship. On the Ladies European Tour, she won the 1989 Danish Ladies Open and the 1990 WPG European Tour Classic. She was runner-up at the 1991 Valextra Classic and the 1992 Ladies English Open, both times beaten by Laura Davies. She also won the 1990 Benson & Hedges Trophy with José María Cañizares, a mixed pairs event that was an unofficial money event on both the European Tour and Ladies European Tour. On the LPGA Tour, Abitbol earned a total of $140,000 in 49 starts. European Ladies' Team Championship
The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay. Only teams in contention for a medal will play a match format of two foursomes and five singles, while the other teams will play a one foursome and four singles match format. It was first played in 1987 as the Singapore Ladies Open, and is from 2022 part of the Ladies Asian Tour and LPGA of Korea Tour. Ladies Asian Golf Tour
The Ladies Asian Golf Tour is a women's professional golf tour that was established as the Ladies Asia Golf Circuit in 1983 and known as the Kosaido Ladies Asia Golf Circuit 1987–2004 for sponsorship reasons. The tour was sanctioned by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation since its inception as an official Asian ladies' tour. By 2005 there were five established women's professional tours in the world, of which two were in Asia, namely the LPGA of Japan Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour.
