Bob De Voogd
Bob de Voogd (; born 16 September 1988) is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Belgian club Braxgata HC, Braxgata. He was included to the national team in 2009 and won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics, placing fourth in 2016. Club career De Voogd started playing hockey at his local hockey club HMHC in Helmond. After the club merged with another Helmond club he started playing for the newly formed club, HC Helmond. He played there until 2004 when he transferred to HC 's-Hertogenbosch, Den Bosch to play in the highest division of Dutch field hockey. In 2007 he transferred to Oranje Zwart. After Oranje Zwart merged in 2016 with Eindhovense Mixed Hockey Club, EMHC he started playing for the newly formed club HC Oranje-Rood. In January 2019, he agreed to play for Braxgata in Belgium from the 2019–20 season onwards. Floris De Voogd
Floris de Voogd (c. 1228 – March 26, 1258 in Antwerp) "the guardian" of Holland, son of Floris IV, Count of Holland (1210–1234) and Matilda of Brabant (ca. 1202-1267). He reigned temporarily for William II of Holland while the latter was engaged in Germany. After King William's death in 1256 he was guardian of Floris V, Count of Holland, son of William. He is sometimes referred to as "Florentius tutor". He defeated the army of Flanders that had invaded Walcheren in 1253, where he captured Guy and John of Dampierre, both sons of Margaret II, Countess of Flanders and commanders for Flanders. In 1256 he signed a peace treaty (called the "Treaty of Péronne") with Flanders on the status of Zeeland, reaffirming Flanders' rights west of the Scheldt river. Flanders was forced to compensate Holland for the damages of the war and only after this Margaretha's sons were freed. Jan de Voogd (13 September 1924 – 25 June 2015) was a Dutch politician, he served as member of the House of Representatives for the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy between 1977 and 1981. He was also active in politics in his native province of Zeeland, serving as member of the States of Zeeland between June 1974 and March 1991 and concurrently as member of the Provincial-Executive from 1982 to March 1991. Career De Voogd was born on 13 September 1924 in Veere, Zeeland. He followed his secondary education at the Hogere Burgerschool in Middelburg. In the 1940s he worked several years for the municipality of Veere. Starting in 1946 he worked for the government employment office, first ten years in Middelburg and subsequently ten years as director of the Vlissingen office.
