Vegard Stake Laengen (born 7 February 1989) is a Norwegian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Oslo, Laengen competed for Norway at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. In August 2015 confirmed that Laengen would be leaving the team to join for 2016. He was named in the start list for the 2016 Giro d'Italia and the 2016 Vuelta a España. In June 2017, he was named in the startlist for the Tour de France. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. Fredrikstad (; previously ''Frederiksstad''; literally "Fredrik's Town") is a city and municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Fredrikstad.
