Sherbrooke ( ; ) is a city in southern Quebec, Canada. It is at the confluence of the Saint-François and Magog rivers in the heart of the Estrie administrative region. Windsor, Quebec
Windsor is a town of 5,300 people, part of the Le Val-Saint-François Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. Windsor is perhaps best known for its ultra-modern Domtar fine paper plant. History Apart from the Abenaki Indian camps in this area in the 1600s, Windsor was unpopulated until the early 19th century, when Governor General Prescott granted a tract of land to Joseph Brown to thank him for his service to the Crown. In 1876, when French-Canadian colonist Michel Cloutier acquired land, a rift grew between Francophones and Anglophones, with one side locating in the Township municipality and the other in the village of Windsor Mills. Windsor Mills was elevated to town status in 1899, and took its current name in 1914. Stoke is a municipality in Le Val-Saint-François in the Estrie region of Quebec in Canada. The Sentiers de l'Estrie hiking trails provide access to Mount Chapman, the highest peak of the Stoke Mountains, and Bald Peak, at an altitude of . History Stoke was first known in 1792 as Cowan's Clearance in memory of Moses Cowan, who surveyed the land for the British Crown. The Township was abandoned until 1837 due to a lack of interest, and passed into the hands of the British American Land Company. In 1856, thanks to the Stoke Road and the road that would soon lead to Sherbrooke, the territory was opened to settlement. Strength athletics in Canada refers to the various strongman (strength athlete) events throughout Canada and its provinces in the sport of trength athleticsin association with the World's Strongest Man. The roots of strongman in Canada go back long before the birth of WSM in 1977, particularly with ouis Cyrin the early 1900s, who was deemed the "Strongest Man on Earth" during his lifetime.
