Urban S is an electric motorcycle made by Evoke Motorcycles and is Evoke's first production model to be sold worldwide The Urban S has been on sale in China since summer 2015 and is scheduled for release in selected European countries early 2018. Due to the 100% electric drivetrain of the bike, it is exempt from the strict licensing requirements for gasoline-powered motorbikes in the larger metropolitan areas such as Shanghai and Beijing. Evoke Motorcycles, (逸沃科（北京）科技有限公司), is a Beijing-based manufacturer of smart electric motorcycles. It was officially founded by Nathan Siy, Sebastian Chrobok and Chris Riether in 2014 in Beijing, China but have been in operation developing electric motorcycles since 2012. Combined Braking System
A combined braking system (CBS), also called linked braking system (LBS), is a system for linking front and rear brakes on a motorcycle or scooter. In this system, the rider's action of depressing one of the brake levers applies both front and rear brakes. The amount of each brake applied may be determined by a proportional control valve. This is distinct from (conventional) integrated brakes, where applying pressure to the rear brake pedal only applies some braking force to the front brake. A lithium-ion or Li-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery which uses the reversible reduction of lithium ions to store energy.
