Unge Hjerter
''Unge hjerter'' (Young Hearts) is a Norwegian silent film from 1917. It is considered lost. According to the cinematographer Ottar Gladtvet, who described the filming in his autobiography, parts of the film were shot outside Røros at Easter. The film premiered at the Palace Theater on June 9, 1917. Plot An engaged couple (Harriet Wold and Ragnar Berntzen) have both fallen in love with someone else: Wang and Anna. They confess this to each other, worried about the other's reaction. However, when it turns out that both are in the same situation, there are new engagements and joy. Cast * ? Peter Lykke-Seest (26 September 1868 – 4 February 1948) was a Norwegian poet, novelist, playwright, non-fiction writer, script writer and film director. He was born in Christiania as a son of wholesaler Jens Peter Seest and Caroline Christiane Frederikke Thy. He was married to the actress and writer Lila Lykke-Seest. He made his literary debut in 1896 with the poetry collection ''Hvide nætter'', and published the novel ''Under Paddehatten'' in 1898. His most popular film was '' Historien om en gut'' from 1919. He published a book on the trial against Vidkun Quisling in 1945. Henning Eriksen
Henning Eriksen (February 28, 1878 – October 1, 1922, surname sometimes Erichsen) was a Norwegian actor. Eriksen made his stage debut in 1903 at the Central Theater in Oslo, and from 1904 to 1912 he was engaged with the National Theater in Bergen. There, among other performances, he distinguished himself in the role of Einar in Henrik Ibsen's play ''Brand''. Eriksen also appeared in films in both Norway and Denmark. His film debut was in 1913 in the Danish silent film ''Højt spil'', and he appeared in a total of six films from 1913 to 1917. Eriksen was married to the actress Magda Blanc from 1906 to 1915. They were the parents of a daughter, Magda Blanc-Eriksen, and a son, the actor Henning Blanc. Jens Selmer
Jens Andreas Ludvig Selmer (July 14, 1845 – May 21, 1928) was a Norwegian stage actor and a film actor from the silent-film era. Selmer made his debut in 1865 at the Christiania Theater, where he remained until 1899, except for two seasons at the New Christiania Norwegian Theatre (a.k.a. the Møllergaden Theater) under the direction of Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. From 1899 to 1908 he was engaged with the National Theater. Selmer was a skilled and reliable character comedian. Among his roles were Jeppe in ''Jeppe on the Hill'', Aslaksen in ''The League of Youth'', and Old Ekdal in ''The Wild Duck''. Ottar Gladtvet
Alf Ottar Gladtvet (September 1, 1890 – June 9, 1962) was a Norwegian filmmaker and pioneer in the film industry. He made documentaries, feature films, commercials, animated films, newsreels. and many short films. He also worked as a cinema machinist and cinema director. Family Gladtvet was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of the hardware dealer and cinema owner Carl Otto Severin Gladtvet (1863–1918) and Agnes Elisabet Roshauw (1862–?). Silent Film
A silent film is a film with no synchronized recorded sound (or more generally, no audible dialogue). Though silent films convey narrative and emotion visually, various plot elements (such as a setting or era) or key lines of dialogue may, when necessary, be conveyed by the use of title cards. The term "silent film" is something of a misnomer, as these films were almost always accompanied by live sounds. During the silent era that existed from the mid-1890s to the late 1920s, a pianist, theater organist—or even, in large cities, a small orchestra—would often play music to accompany the films. Pianists and organists would play either from sheet music, or improvisation. Sometimes a person would even narrate the inter-title cards for the audience. Røros ( sma, Plassje, ) is the administrative centre of Røros municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. Robert Kristian Paolo Sperati (July 27, 1872 – October 12, 1945) was a Norwegian stage actor and film actor from the silent-film era. Career Sperati was born in Bergen.
