Ula Sickle
Ula Sickle is a Canadian / Polish choreographer and performer residing in the Brussels-Capital Region. Training Ula Sickle studied art history and semiotics at the University of Toronto and then performing arts at the Université Paris 8. Afterwards she moved to Brussels, where she studied at the dance school P.A.R.T.S. from 2000 to 2004. From 2008 to 2010, she continued to deepen her knowledge in visual arts and film during studies at Le Fresnoy - Studio National des Arts Contemporains in Tourcoing. Work as a choreographer Since 2004, Sickle has worked as an independent choreographer. Her artistic work takes on different forms, from video to installations and stage performances. Nacera Belaza is an Algerian dancer and conceptual choreographer who is known for performances that present repeated actions in an austere manner. Biography Belaza was born in Médéa, Algeria and moved to France at the age of 5. As a child she did not attend dance classes, instead she danced in her own room. She studied French literature at University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and then founded in 1989 her own dance company, the Nacera Belaza Company. Jolie Ngemi (born 16 April 1989) is a dancer and performance artist from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Biography Ngemi was born on 16 April 1989. She has danced from an early age: she first began to dance in Kinshasa at the Protestant church there. She also took part in hip-hop dance battles in the streets of Kinshasa with the group, Rue Des Danses Urbains Hip-hop. She moved to Brussels to study at The Performing Arts and Research Training School (P.A.R.T.S.). She studied there for two years. Career Ngemi is a well-known dancer and choreographer from the DRC.
