Ukraine In The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017
Ukraine participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 which will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on 26 November 2017. Their entrant was selected through a national selection, organized by the Ukrainian broadcaster NTU. The semi-final took place on 8 August 2017, where the 27 eligible submissions performed in front of a jury, and then they chose ten artists to qualify to the final, which took place on 25 August 2017. As a result, Anastasiya Baginska won the Ukrainian selection and got the right to represent Ukraine in Tbilisi, Georgia with the song "Don't Stop (Ne zupyniay)". Background Prior to the 2017 Contest, Ukraine had participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest eleven times since its debut in . Pushcha-Vodytsia (also Pushcha-Voditsa, uk, Пуща-Водиця; russian: Пуща-Водица) is a historic neighbourhood, climate resort and an urban-type settlement (1981-2001) in the northwestern part of Kyiv (Obolon Raion). Timur Valeriyovych Miroshnychenko ( Ukrainian: Тімур Валерійович Мірошниченко) (born 9 March 1986) is a Ukrainian TV presenter for the channel UA:PBC. He was the host of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 together with Ani Lorak, and again in 2013 with Zlata Ognevich. Timur also co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Biography Miroshnychenko was born on 9 March 1986 in Kyiv. In his years as a student he was a member of KVN student's team. His TV career began in 2005, when he became a commentator for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 — the first JESC to broadcast in Ukraine. He went on to become the commentator of the Eurovision Song Contest for Ukraine from 2007, replacing Pavlo Shylko. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was the fifteenth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest, organised by the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
