Udayar (caste)
The Udayar is a title used by multiple caste system in India, caste in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Etymology The word ''Udayar'' in Tamil language, Tamil means ''Lord'' or ''Possessor'' as in ''Possessor of land or kingdom''. Present status According to Selva Raj, the Udayar are "socially humbler" than the Vellalar community but, together with the Pallar and Kallar(caste), Kallar, form the Marava castes, who are quite dominant in the region variously known as Ramnad and the Maravar country. Religion In Ramnad and the nearby areas of Pudukottai, Madurai, Salem, Namakkal, Tanjore and Trichy, they and their two fellow Maravar caste groups are prominent in their cult worship of the shrine at Oriyur that commemorates John de Britto, a 17th-century Portugal, Portuguese Jesuit missionary and martyr. Justice Party (India)
The Justice Party, officially the South Indian Liberal Federation, was a political party in the Madras Presidency of British India. It was established on 20 November 1916 in Victoria Public Hall in Madras by Dr C. Natesa Mudaliar and co-founded by T. M. Nair, P. Theagaraya Chetty and Alamelu Mangai Thayarammal as a result of a series of non-Brahmin conferences and meetings in the presidency. Communal division between Brahmins and non-Brahmins began in the presidency during the late-19th and early-20th century, mainly due to caste prejudices and disproportionate Brahminical representation in government jobs. Silambarasan
Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, nicknamed as Simbu or his initials S. T. R., is an Indian actor, filmmaker and musician in Tamil cinema. He began his acting career by playing roles as a child artist in films directed by his father T. Rajendar, before his first lead role in ''Kadhal Azhivathillai'' (2002), under his father's direction and produced by his mother Usha. John de Britto (also spelled ''Brito''; pt, João de Brito), also known as Arul Anandar, (born in Lisbon, Portugal on 1 March 1647 – died at Orur, Tamil Nadu, India on 4 February 1693) was a Portuguese Jesuit missionary and martyr, often called "the Portuguese St Francis Xavier" by Indian Catholics. He is also called the John the Baptist of India. Early life and missionary work John de Britto was the scion of a powerful aristocratic Portuguese family; his father, Salvador de Britto Pereira, died while serving as Viceroy of the Portuguese colony of Brazil. He joined the Jesuits in 1662, studying at the famous University of Coimbra.
