USK Prague
USK Praha, ( cs, Univerzitní Sportovní Klub Praha, University Sports Club Prague), formerly known as Slavia VŠ Praha ( cs, Slavia Vysoké Školy Praha), is a Czech professional basketball club that was founded in 1953 in the city of Prague. USK Praha plays in the NBL, the highest competition in the Czech Republic. It is a 14-times national champion. USK Praha became the first and so far the only men's basketball club in Czech Republic, as well as former Czechoslovakia, to win one of the European cup competitions, the FIBA Cup Winners' Cup in 1969. The Czech Republic National Basketball League (NBL) ( cs, Národní Basketbalová Liga) is the top-tier level professional basketball league in the Czech Republic. It is run by the Asociace Ligových Klubů. The league operates under a promotion and relegation system. The bottom two NBL teams from each season's standings are relegated to the 2nd-tier level 1. The Czech Basketball Cup is the annual top-tier level national basketball cup competition that is held in the Czech Republic, for professional teams. Košarkarski klub Olimpija ( en, Olimpija Basketball Club) was a men's professional basketball club based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The 1970–71 FIBA European Champions Cup was the 14th installment of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). The Final was held at the Arena Deurne, in Antwerp, Belgium, on April 8, 1971. It was won by CSKA Moscow, who defeated Ignis Varese, by a result of 67–53.
