Tõnis Kimmel
Tõnis Kimmel (born 22 January 1977 in Tallinn) is an Estonian architect. From 1984 to 1992 Tõnis Kimmel studied in the 7th Secondary School of Tallinn (today's Tallinn English College) and from 1992 to 1995 in the King Gustav Adolf's Grammar School. From 1995 he studied in the Estonian Academy of Arts in the department of architecture and city planning. He graduated from the academy in 2002. From 2002 to 2006, Tõnis Kimmel worked in the architectural bureau KOKO arhitektid OÜ. From 2005 Tõnis Kimmel works in the Tartu city government in the department of architecture. Most notable works by Tõnis Kimmel are the apartment building on the Vabriku Street and the new synagogue of Tallinn. For the new synagogue of Tallinn Tõnis Kimmel received the annual architectural award of the Estonian Cultural Endowment in 2006. Tallinn () is the most populous and capital city of Estonia. Estonians or Estonian people ( et, eestlased) are a Finnic ethnic group native to Estonia who speak the Estonian language. The Estonian language is spoken as the first language by the vast majority of Estonians; it is closely related to other Finnic languages, e.g. Finnish, Karelian and Livonian. Tallinn English College
Tallinn English College ( et, Tallinna Inglise Kolledž) is a co-educational general education school in Tallinn, Estonia with in depth education in the English language. It has elementary, middle and senior levels with students aged from 7 to 18. History The history of the college starts in 1940, when Tallinn Secondary School No. 7 was created by merging Tallinn French School and Jakob Westholm Grammar School. The school was located in the building on Hariduse Street erected for the French Lyceum in 1937. Its name returned to Jakob Westholm Grammar School in 1941 under the German occupation authorities, but its original name was lost again in 1944 when the Soviet occupation was restored. Raivo Kotov (born 11 October 1976 in Viljandi) is a notable Estonian architect. From 1995 to 2000 Raivo Kotov studied in the Department of Architecture and City Planning of the Estonian Academy of Arts. Raivo Kotov works in the architectural bureau KOKO Arhitektid OÜ. Annelinn
Annelinn (Estonian for ''"Anne's Town"'') is a neighbourhood of Tartu, Estonia, located on the left bank of Emajõgi River. It has a population of 27,755 (as of 31 December 2013), or 27.34% of the whole city's population. With an area of , it is also the largest. Annelinn mainly consists of 5 and 9-story Soviet apartment buildings. The project was made between 1969–1973 by Mart Port and Maie Meelak from " Eesti Projekt". It was originally planned to consist of four microdistricts but only two were finished. Annelinn is planned with the shape of amphitheater with ascending relief, and an imaginary centre located on the watermeadow of the Emajõgi River.
