Trivikrama Panditacharya
Sri Trivikrama Panditacharya (1258 - 1320), was an Indian scholar and one of the disciples of Sri Madhvacharya, the great Dvaita philosopher. He composed the Vayu Stuti, one of the most famous Stotras in the Madhva tradition. Biography Sri Trivikrama Panditacharya's biographical account is also given with considerable detail by his son Sri Narayana Panditacharya in Sri MadhwaVijaya. Sri Trvivikrama Panditacharya's father was Sri Subramanya Panditacharya. Sri Trivikrama Panditacharya was a scholar even in his young days and even before he was converted as a Madhwa he had written a Sanskrit mahakavya called "Ushaharana" mahakavya. Sri Trivikrama Panditacharya was the teacher of the King of Kasaragod called Jayasimha. Once when Sri Madhvacharya visited Kasaragod, he challenged Sri Madhva to a debate, as he believed in the Advaita tradition. Vayu Stuti
Vayu STUTI is one of the most famous Stutis (poems) composed by Sri Trivikrama Panditacharya in praise of Sri Madhvacharya, the founder of the Dvaita school of philosophy. Madhvas, or the followers of Sri Madhvacharya, know that Madhvacharya is the third incarnation of Lord Mukhyaprana, being the first incarnation or Vayu who is the main deity and the Vayu Stuti has been written recognizing this order of incarnation. Legend has it that during daily puja done by Sri Madhvacharya in the sanctum sanctorum of Udupi Sri Krishna temple behind closed doors, Trivikrama Panditacharya used to recite the Dvadasha stotra outside. Madhvacharya
Madhvacharya (; ; CE 1199-1278 or CE 1238–1317), sometimes Anglicisation, anglicised as Madhva Acharya, and also known as Purna Prajna () and Ānanda Tīrtha, was an Indian philosopher, theologian and the chief proponent of the ''Dvaita'' (dualism) school of Vedanta. Madhva called his philosophy ''Dvaita Vedanta, Tattvavāda'' meaning "arguments from a realist viewpoint". Madhvacharya was born on the west coast of Karnataka state in 13th-century India. As a teenager, he became a Sannyasa, Sanyasi (monk) joining Brahma-sampradaya guru Achyutapreksha, of the Ekadandi order. Sri Narayana Panditacharya (also referred as Narayana Pandita) ( IAST:''Nārāyaṇa Paṇḍitacārya'') (c. 1290 – c. 1370), is an Indian scholar and philosopher in the Dvaita Vedānta tradition. He was the youngest son of Trivikrama Panditacharya, one of the direct disciples of Sri Madhva He is the author of '' Sri Madhva Vijaya'', a metrical biography of the rejuvenator of the Dvaita school of philosophy, Sri Madhvacharya. ''Stotra'' (Sanskrit: स्तोत्र) is a Sanskrit word that means "ode, eulogy or a hymn of praise."Monier Williams, Monier Williams' Sanskrit-English Dictionary, Oxford University Press, Article on 'Stotra'' It is a literary genre of Indian religious texts designed to be melodically sung, in contrast to a ''shastra'' which is composed to be recited. Sadh Vaishnavism ( IAST: ''Sādh Vaiṣṇavism''), (popularly referred as Madhva Sampradaya, Madhva Vaishnavism and Brahma Sampradaya), is a denomination within the Vaishnavism Bhagavata tradition of Hinduism. Sadh Vaishnavism was founded by thirteenth century philosopher-saint Madhvacharya, who developed the Tattvavada (dvaita) ("arguments from a realist viewpoint") Vedanta sub-school of Hindu philosophy. Sri Madhva Vijaya (also popularly referred as Sumadhva Vijaya or simply as Madhva Vijaya) ("The story of the victory of Madhva"), is a hagiographic work of the Dvaita philosopher Sri Madhvacharya. It is authored by Sri Narayana Panditacharya, who was the son of Sri Trivikrama Panditacharya, one of the direct disciples of Madhvacharya.
