Ultra House
Ultrahuset (literally "the Ultra house") was a punk music venue run by the Ultra cultural society in Haninge, between June 1980 and August 1988. During those years it was a central point in the young punk Stockholm. The society was founded by young people in Handen, south of Stockholm in 1979. Initially, the club did not have its own space but were housed in public buildings during certain limited times. As they felt their own local was necessary for their activities they approached members of the municipality and demanded their own local. A year after the formation Ultra was given one of the many abandoned houses in Handen. The house on the Källvägen 9 in the central Handen was now an activity house, the so-called Ultra house, where a variety of projects employing young people from the neighborhood took place. What makes the Ultra Hall is widely known, however, all the music concerts that were held there on weekends. Over the years there were thousands of concerts with nearl ...

Haninge
Haninge Municipality (''Haninge kommun'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in Handen, a part of the Stockholm urban area. Haninge Municipality was formed in 1971 when ''Västerhaninge'' and ''Österhaninge'' were united. The municipal coat of arms depicts a capercaillie from which the name Haninge is believed to have been derived (the German word ''hahn'' means capercaillie), while the anchor symbolizes the naval base in the municipality. The German word usage is supposedly from the old German Hansa traders who operated in the area. Geography Haninge cherishes its nature, housing the southern parts of the scenic Stockholm archipelago. There are over 3,600 islands, islets and skerries belonging to the municipality, with the three largest islands being Utö, Ornö and Muskö. A car tunnel, the third longest in Sweden, connects Muskö to the mainland. The other two of the islands are reached with passenger and car ferries. Hani ...

Trallpunk
Trallpunk (Swedish; roughly translates to 'melodious punk' — see the Wiktionary entry) is a subgenre of punk music developed in Sweden. It is known for its two-beat, fast drum tempos, a melodic sound with harmonized vocals, and politically oriented lyrics in Swedish. Generally, trallpunk music advocates for high taxes, open borders, and workers' rights, and is critical of over-consumption; it is not usually anti-establishment or anarchist. Asta Kask is considered to be one of the first trallpunk bands. During the 1990s, trallpunk saw increased popularity, particularly due to the club Kafé 44 in Stockholm and the band De Lyckliga Kompisarna (The Happy Friends). Today, trallpunk is represented through bands such as Varnagel, Slutstation Tjernobyl, Greta Kassler, and De Lyckliga Kompisarna. Internationally, bands like Rasta Knast and Takahashi Gumi are examples. Trallpunk bands Some trallpunk bands include: * Argentina * Asta Kask * Björnarna * Charta 77 * Coca Carol ...
