Ultra House
Ultrahuset (literally "the Ultra house") was a punk music venue run by the Ultra cultural society in Haninge, between June 1980 and August 1988. During those years it was a central point in the young punk Stockholm. The society was founded by young people in Handen, south of Stockholm in 1979. Initially, the club did not have its own space but were housed in public buildings during certain limited times. As they felt their own local was necessary for their activities they approached members of the municipality and demanded their own local. A year after the formation Ultra was given one of the many abandoned houses in Handen. The house on the Källvägen 9 in the central Handen was now an activity house, the so-called Ultra house, where a variety of projects employing young people from the neighborhood took place. Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1994. Foo Fighters was initially formed as a one-man project by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Following the success of the eponymous debut album, Grohl (lead vocals, guitar) recruited a band consisting of Nate Mendel (bass guitar), William Goldsmith (drums), and Pat Smear (guitar). After a succession of lineup changes, including the departures of Goldsmith and Smear, the band formed its core lineup in 1999 consisting of Grohl, Mendel, Chris Shiflett (guitar), and Taylor Hawkins (drums). In 2005 Smear returned to the band and in 2017 Rami Jaffee joined the band performing the keyboards and piano. Tompa Eken
Tommy Ekengren, born 17 July 1950 and more known as Tompa Eken, is one of the driving forces behind Kafé 44 in Stockholm and a central figure in the Stockholm punk and the garage rock scene. Prior to Kafe 44 Tompa was also one of the forces behind the Ultra house in Haninge, where he made the legendary ultra buns. Tompa still bakes them himself to each event and serves to both band and audience. In 1988 he was awarded the Dagens Nyheter's culture prize Guldkängan. In the magazine Buss på Stockholm he was placed on eight place when they listed the 100 most important people of Stockholm through the ages. Clawfinger is a Swedish rap metal band from Stockholm. The group is known for aggressive but melodic music and tackling political and anti-racist themes in their songs. History Origins: 1989–1991 The band's origin dates back to mid-1989, when Zak Tell and Jocke Skog met while working together at Rosenlund Hospital in Stockholm. In 1990, they were joined by the Norwegian guitarists Bård Torstensen and Erlend Ottem who were also working at the hospital. The four soon realized their similar interests in music. Nirvana (band)
Nirvana was an American rock band formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987.
