Tomasz Berkieta
Tomasz Berkieta (; born 21 July 2006) is a Polish tennis player. He has a career high ITF junior combined ranking of No. 7, achieved on 1 January 2024. Early life and background Berkieta was born in Warsaw to Kamil Berkieta and Magdalena Sawicka. His mother is a tennis coach who played the sport until the age of 16, when she had to retire due to injury. While volunteering as a ball boy at the 2013 Davis Cup World Group play-offs, Berkieta was hit in the stomach by a serve from Nick Kyrgios and had to exit the court. He is currently coached by Piotr Sierzputowski, the former coach of Iga Świątek, and trains at the Legia Tennis Centre in Warsaw. Junior career In January 2022, Berkieta reached the semifinal of the J4 Eintracht Frankfurt event. The following month, he won his maiden ITF Junior title at the J5 DeSki Warsaw Cup. Iga Natalia Świątek (; born 31 May 2001) is a Polish professional tennis player. She is currently ranked world No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Świątek is a three-time major singles champion, having won the French Open in 2020 and 2022 and the US Open in 2022. She is the first player representing Poland to win a major singles title. 2023 Australian Open
The 2023 Australian Open was a Grand Slam level tennis tournament held at Melbourne Park, from 16–29 January 2023. It was the 111th edition of the Australian Open, the 55th in the Open Era, and the first major of the year. Ādaži () (formerly german: Neuermühlen) is a town in Pierīga, on the left bank of the Gauja river. Town is administrative center of Ādaži Municipality. ITF Junior Circuit
The ITF Junior Circuit is the premier level for worldwide competition among under-18 junior tennis players. Founded in 1977 with only nine tournaments, the 2011 ITF Junior Circuit offered over 350 tournaments in 118 countries. Mirroring the ATP and WTA circuits, the ITF Junior Circuit ranks players and crowns a year end world champion. History The ITF Junior Circuit is organized by the International Tennis Federation.
