Tohoku Classic
The JCB Classic was a professional golf tournament held near Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. The Tohoku Classic was held at Nishisendai Country Club until 1987. In 1988 it moved to Omotezao Kokusai Golf Club and was renamed the Sendai Classic; sponsored as the JCB Classic Sendai from 1990. The final event, in 2007, was held at Hananomori Golf Club as the JCB Classic and the prize fund was ¥100,000,000 with ¥20,000,000 going to the winner. Toru Suzuki
is a Japanese professional golfer, currently playing on the Japan Golf Tour. Suzuki was born in Gifu Prefecture. He turned professional in 1990. Suzuki won his first title on the Japan Golf Tour in 1993, and would win consistently between then and 2004. Suzuki qualified for his second major championship in 1998 at The Open Championship after a win in Japan at the Sapporo Tokyu Open. He missed the cut. He also played in the 2002 Open Championship, but missed the 36-hole cut there, too. Suzuki ended a five-year winless drought in Japan in 2009 with a five stroke win in October at the mynavi ABC Championship. Yūsaku Miyazato
is a Japanese professional golfer. In 2006 he became the first modern-era golfer to make two hole in one shots in the same round of a PGA Tour event, at the Reno-Tahoe Open in Nevada. Early life and amateur career Miyazato was born in Higashi, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. He attended Tohoku Fukushi University, and won the Japanese collegiate championship in 2000, and the Japanese Amateur Championship in 2001. In December 2002, he announced his decision to turn pro before his upcoming graduation. He currently plays on the Japan Golf Tour. Professional career At the time of his holes in one, the PGA Tour announced that it was the first time since they had started keeping records. Tsuneyuki "Tommy" Nakajima ( ja, 中嶋常幸; born 20 October 1954) is a Japanese professional golfer. Nakajima was born in Gunma. He turned professional in 1975. He has won 48 events on the Japan Golf Tour, ranking third on the most Japan Golf Tour wins list. He also was the leading money winner four times in five years: 1982, 1983, 1985 and 1986. He is second on the career money list (through 2009). Nakajima featured in the top 5 of the Official World Golf Rankings and was ranked in the top-10 for 85 weeks from their debut in 1986 to 1987.
