Titta Pretto
Tito Matias Estefânio Preto (born 4 January 1933), known professionally as Titta Pretto, is an Indian comedian, singer, composer, and playwright known for his work in Konkani films and '' tiatr'' productions. Early life Tito Matias Estefânio Preto was born on 4 January 1933, in the Lankdem ward of Aldona, Goa, which was a part of Portuguese India during the era of the Portuguese Empire (now in India). He hailed from a Goan Catholic family, born to parents Martinho Miguel Fernandes Preto and Maria Areaujela de Sousa. During his formative years, Preto developed a deep appreciation for ''tiatrs'', a traditional form of Goan musical theater. Among the ''tiatrists'', he admired the Konkani ''tiatrist'' Minguel Rod for his singing prowess and skill in composing ''tiatrs''. Inspired by his idol, Preto often imitated Minguel Rod's style, nurturing his ambition to become a ''tiatrist'' of similar stature. ''Nirmon'' is a Goan Konkani film produced in 1966. It was directed by A. Salam and produced by Frank Fernand. The film features C. Alvares, Shalini, Anthony D’Sa, Ophelia, Souza Ferrao, Antonette and Jacinto Vaz. Cast and crew Nirmonn was Frank Fernand's second production. It had story and direction of A. Salam and music by Frank Fernand himself, dialogues by C. Alvares, screenplay and editing by R. V. Shirkhande. The film stars Shalini Mardolkar, C.
