''Tiger, My Friend'' is the first album by electronica band Psapp. It was originally released on The Leaf Label and was later reissued by Domino Records, which now controls Psapp's entire catalog. Reception Gemma Padley in a review for BBC called it a "highly skillful album but not one for the masses", and said, "the unfussy quirky instrumentation and simple cylindrical melodic fragments create an intensity bubbling just below the surface. ''Stylus Magazine'' was an American online music and film magazine, launched in 2002 and co-founded by Todd L. Burns. It featured long-form music journalism, four daily music reviews, movie reviews, podcasts, an MP3 blog, and a text blog. Shawn Lee (born 1963) is an American musician, producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist who currently lives in London, England. He is best known for his extensive work on the score for the acclaimed 2006 Rockstar Games video game '' Bully''. He is currently working on an upcoming album ''Janktone Productions'', composed primarily of cheap and fun home-made instruments, currently there is no definitive release date though. Career Shawn Lee was born to a mother of Lebanese and American Indian ancestry and a father of Irish American ancestry. Lee has relocated twice in pursuit of his career. He moved to Los Angeles in 1988 where he worked with The Dust Brothers and Jeff Buckley. The Leaf Label
The Leaf Label is a British independent record label based in Yorkshire, England. Initially an electronic music label, releasing mainly instrumental music, the company's approach now features artists spanning jazz and post-punk. History The Leaf Label was created in late 1994 by Tony Morley; at that time, press officer at 4AD in London, along with his friend Julian Carrera, then working for music press company Stone Immaculate. The pair ran the label as a hobby until the end of 1996, during which time they released a series of eight 12" singles, of mainly electronic music. Psapp
Psapp ( or ) is a British experimental electronica band. The band, a duo consisting of Carim Clasmann and Galia Durant, are sometimes credited with inventing a musical style known as ''toytronica'', a form of electronica made with toys and toy instruments. They are also noted for their use of found sounds and homemade instruments, including the meowing of live cats, a "mechanical chicken", and a xylophone-like instrument made of bones they call the "boneaphone". They have released five albums, a Japan Exclusive Mini-Album, '' Northdown'', and five EPs. Psapp composed the song "Cosy in the Rocket", the main theme on the medical-drama TV series ''Grey's Anatomy'', for which they have received multiple BMI awards.
