Thevara
Thevara is a place in central Kochi in Kerala, India. Location Geography Thevara is part of the mainland Kochi and marks its south-west boundary. It is connected to the water-bound West Kochi via bridges. Thevara is a link to Thevara Ferry and Konthuruthy which links the place like Kumbalam, Nettoor, Kadavanthra to other areas of Kochi city via waterway. The major artery of Kochi city starts from Kacheripady and ends at Thevara Junction. Thevara is the first residential area one would come across after crossing over the Venduruthy Bridge to enter Ernakulam city. It is a quiet waterfront locale, about 2.5 km from the commercial center of M. G. Road and South Railway Station. Cochin International Airport is 33 km to the north-east. Nettoor
Nettoor (also spelled as Nettur aka Tirunettur) is a region in the city of Kochi. It is around from Vytilla Junction and around from Ernakulam Junction Railway Station. Nettoor is located on Panangad Island and is a part of Maradu Municipality. Tirunettur Railway Station on Kochi-Alappuzha railway line is situated on the northern end of Nettoor. Both NH 66 and NH 966B passes through Nettoor. Location Education There are six educational institutions in Nettoor. Sacred Heart College, Thevara
Sacred Heart College, Kochi is an institution of higher education affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It was established in 1944. Kerala Urban Road Transport Corporation
The Kerala Urban Road Transport Corporation (KURTC) was a state-run bus company which started with more than 500 low-floor buses (A/C & NON A/C) in Kerala. KURTC used to run complete and individual services in Thiruvananthapuram & Ernakulam districts. The remaining 12 districts were divided into 5 clusters ; Cluster I comprises Kozhikode, Wayanad and Malappuram; Cluster II Kottayam, Thodupuzha, and Pathanamthitta; Cluster III Kannur and Kasaragod; Cluster IV Thrissur and Palakkad; and Cluster V Kollam and Alappuzha. COVID gravely affected the profitability and sustenance of this service, the buses got rusted due to non usage and only 97 were functional out of which 70 were then given to City Circular Bus service. Kundannoor
Kundannoor is a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is located around 3.5 km from Vytilla Junction and around 7 km from Ernakulam Junction Railway Station. Kundanoor is located on the busiest road of the city and state, the Kochi Bypass, at the junction of three National Highways, namely NH 66, NH 85 and NH 966B. NH 966B is the second shortest National highway in India. The junction now has a six-lane flyover due to the high traffic it handles. Since the current Kochi Bypass carries over twice the traffic it is designed to handle, the National Highways Authority of India had come up with a proposal for a new bypass for Kochi city a few years ago. Edakochi
Edakochi is one of the oldest districts in southern Kochi (or Cochin), India.
