The Motivation Proclamation
"The Motivation Proclamation" is a song by American rock band Good Charlotte. Vocalist Benji Madden and lead guitarist Joel Madden wrote the song while Don Gilmore produced it. The track, whose lyrics talking about moving on from distressing routines, was included on the band's self-titled debut album (2000). Although "The Motivation Proclamation'" received some airplay in the United States, it was not released as a single there. Epic Records instead issued a CD single on August 6, 2001, in Australia and New Zealand. While the song stalled at number 67 in Australia, it became a top-30 hit in New Zealand, where it peaked at number 28. A music video directed by Marc Webb was made for the song, featuring the band waking up and performing the song together. ''Good Charlotte'' is the debut album by American rock band Good Charlotte released September 26, 2000 through Epic and Daylight. Despite receiving favorable reviews, the album undersold expectations, charting at number 185 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The album's first single "Little Things" reached the top 30 on the Mainstream Top 40 and the Alternative Songs charts. The band formed in 1995 with twin brothers Joel on vocals and Benji Madden on guitar, along with Billy Martin on guitar, Paul Thomas on bass and Aaron Escolopio on drums. A demo of "Little Things" received airplay from two radio stations and by early 2000, Good Charlotte had signed to Epic Records. Recording sessions with producer Don Gilmore for the debut album took place in four studios in California and New York. A music video for "Little Things" started getting airplay in November 2000. Vlado Meller is a Slovak audio mastering engineer, currently with Vlado Meller Mastering in Charleston, South Carolina. Meller works across many genres of music, with credits on rock, hip-hop, pop, jazz, metal, dance, opera, Broadway, and classical albums over 50+ year career. Albums that he engineered have won two Grammy Awards. Biography Meller was born in the former Czechoslovakia and received violin lessons at an early age.
