Living Word Fellowship
Living Word Fellowship (LWF) was a millenarian Pentecostal Christian group based in the San Francisco Bay area, founded in 1970 by Bobbi Morris. It encouraged its members to "Get high on Jesus." Most of its members were young adults who had been involved in the counterculture of the 1960s and had used marijuana and psychedelic drugs, and about one-third of them had participated in radical political protests. In LWF, they replaced their counterculture lifestyles with a culture characterized by moral authoritarianism and Pentecostal worship practices such as speaking in tongues. Frank Sandford

John Robert Stevens
John Robert Stevens (August 7, 1919 – June 4, 1983) founded The Living Word Fellowship in the 1950s and was the leader of the organization until his death. Stevens was born in Story County, Iowa. His parents, Eva Katherine and William J. Stevens, moved the family to California in 1929, during the Great Depression. In Los Angeles they attended the Angelus Temple, founded by Aimee Semple McPherson. In 1933 they returned to Washington, Iowa, where William Stevens founded the Christian Tabernacle church, in which young John Stevens taught children's Bible study and helped his father prepare sermons. John Stevens began preaching on his own in Gladwin, Iowa, in 1935, before his sixteenth birthday, under the auspices of the Four Square Gospel denomination. Kalona is a city in Washington County, Iowa. It is part of the Iowa City metropolitan area. The population was 2,630 at the time of the 2020 census. Kalona is the second-largest city in Washington County. History Amish settlement in what is now the Kalona area began in the 1840s, placing the Amish among the first European settlers in the area. Anthony D. Cox (born 1936) is an American film producer and art promoter. He is a former husband of Yoko Ono. Biography Cox met Yoko Ono in 1961, after he saw some of her art work in an anthology and located her in Tokyo, Japan. The couple married on November 28, 1962, but marriage was annulled on March 1, 1963, due to Ono neglecting to officially finalize her divorce from her first husband, the Japanese composer Toshi Ichiyanagi. They remarried on June 11, 1963, two months before their daughter, Kyoko Chan Cox, was born on August 8, 1963. Cox became a full-time caregiver for Kyoko, while both he and Ono continued with their art, collaborating as conceptual artists.
