''The Big Machine'' is the fourth studio album by French singer, composer and producer Émilie Simon, released on 14 September 2009, by Barclay. The album is completely in English; no French songs were included on the album. However, some songs have fragments in French. Promotion Four viral videos have been posted on her official MySpace page. The videos include the same artwork used on her official website, created bAATOAA The first one includes the full album version of "Dreamland" which is the lead single of the album. The second one includes a 36-second instrumental sample of "Chinatown". And, the third one includes a 50s snippet of "Rocket to the Moon". The fourth one appeared on her official site only promoting the digital release of the album, it includes "Rainbow". Émilie Simon (; born 1978 in Montpellier, Occitanie, France) is a French singer, songwriter and composer of electronic music. Music ''Émilie Simon'' In May 2003, she released her debut album '' Émilie Simon''. The electronic album was critically acclaimed and went on to become a commercial success. To promote her album, she did numerous live performances and TV appearances all over France. In 2004, she was rewarded with a Victoire de la musique in the 'Electronic Album' category for the album. Two music videos were made to promote ''Émilie Simon'' for the songs " Désert" and "Flowers". The English version of "Désert" had an identical music video to the French version. Bronski Beat
Bronski Beat were a British synthpop trio which achieved success in the mid-1980s, particularly with the 1984 chart hit "Smalltown Boy", from their debut album '' The Age of Consent''. "Smalltown Boy" was their only US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 single. All members of the band were openly gay and their songs reflected this, often containing political commentary on gay-related issues. The initial line-up, which recorded the majority of the band's hits, consisted of Jimmy Somerville (vocals), Steve Bronski (born Steven William Forrest, keyboards, percussion) and Larry Steinbachek (keyboards, percussion). Simon Davolls regularly contributed backing vocals on many songs. Somerville left Bronski Beat in 1985, and went on to have success as lead singer of the Communards and as a solo artist. Brass Instrument
A brass instrument is a musical instrument that produces sound by sympathetic vibration of air in a tubular resonator in sympathy with the vibration of the player's lips. Brass instruments are also called labrosones or labrophones, from Latin and Greek elements meaning 'lip' and 'sound'. Kelly Pratt (musician)
Kelly Pratt is an arranger and multi-instrumentalist best known for his horn work in the band Beirut and with David Byrne. Biography Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Pratt has been a member of Beirut since the band's relocation to Brooklyn, playing in the live band and on the recordings. He joined Montreal's Arcade Fire on their Neon Bible world tour in 2007–2008, playing trumpet, flugelhorn, euphonium, French horn and flute. Jeremy Gara (born June 6, 1978) is a Canadian drummer from Ottawa, Ontario. He is most well known as the drummer of the band Arcade Fire.
