The Thailand Hockey Association is the governing body of field hockey in Thailand. It is affiliated to IHF International Hockey Federation and AHF Asian Hockey Federation. 2012–13 Men's FIH Hockey World League Round 1
The 2012–13 Men's FIH Hockey World League Round 1 was held from August to December 2012. A total of 35 teams competing in 9 events were part in this round of the tournament playing for 13 berths in the Round 2, played from February to June 2013. Qualification Each national association member of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) had the opportunity to compete in the tournament. Teams ranked 17th and lower in the FIH World Rankings current at the time of seeking entries for the competition were allocated to one of the Round 1 events. 2012–13 Men's FIH Hockey World League
The 2012–13 Men's FIH Hockey World League was the inaugural season of the men's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in August 2012 in Prague, Czech Republic and finished in January 2014 in New Delhi, India. The Semifinals of this competition also served as a qualifier for the 2014 Men's Hockey World Cup as the 6 highest placed teams apart from the host nation and the five continental champions qualified. The Netherlands won the tournament's Final round for the first time after defeating New Zealand 7–2 in the final match. England won the third place match by defeating Australia 2–1. Hockey World League
The Men's FIH Hockey World League was an international field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation. The league also served as a qualifier for the 2014 and 2018 Men's Hockey World Cups and the 2016 Olympic Games. Three seasons were held in 2012–13, 2014–15 and 2016-17. It was replaced by the new Men's FIH Pro League and Hockey Series in 2018-19. Format The tournament featured four rounds. For each edition the FIH decides the number of events and teams for each round. The number of Round 1 events varied in each cycle depending on the number of participating national teams. Teams were grouped regionally, although European teams were split in several tournaments. The remaining rounds have teams selected with no regional restrictions. 2007 Men's Hockey Asia Cup
The 2007 Men's Hockey Asia Cup was the seventh tournament of the Hockey Asia Cup for men. It was held from 31 August – 9 September 2007 in Chennai, India. India won, defeating Korea in the finals, seven goals to two. Korea came in second and Malaysia came third. India led 3-1 at halftime. In the early stages of the second half, Korea staged a walkout led by their coach, because of a decision by the umpire to disallow a goal scored by Korea. In response, India scored a goal through a counterattack in the next minute. Two Korean forwards had continued to argue with the umpire on the disallowed goal. Korea never recovered, while India's forward line scored 3 more goals to make it 7-1 before Korea reduced the margin to 7-2 in the penultimate minute.
