TamU-K
TamU-K is a football club based in Tampere, Finland. It was founded in 2009 as a supporters' trust for Tampere United, who then played in the Finnish top division Veikkausliiga. After the Football Association of Finland banned Tampere United from Finnish football at the eve of the 2011 season under still-unproven allegations of third party influence in the club, the supporters' trust took upon themselves to maintain the club's legacy in Finnish football by starting a team in the bottom division Kutonen for the 2012 season. In the next four seasons the club earned three promotions, and handed over its spot in Kolmonen, the fourth highest level of football in Finland, back to Tampere United. Tampere United
Tampere United is a Finnish football club from the city of Tampere. The club plays in Kakkonen, the third highest level of football in Finland. The club had a team in Veikkausliiga, the premier football league in Finland, until the end of the 2010 season. It was excluded from participating in Finnish football during the 2011 season amidst suspicions of money laundering. The club was kept alive by its supporters, who entered a team called TamU-K in Kutonen, the lowest level of football in Finland, in 2012. The club earned three promotions in four years, and all its teams were taken over by Tampere United in the lead up to the 2016 season. Kutonen or VI divisioona is the seventh level in the Finnish football league system and comprises 265 teams. The VI divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kutonen (''Number Six'' in English and ''Sexan'' in Swedish). The competition There are 265 clubs in the Kutonen, divided in 27 groups of 5 to 16 teams, each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club normally plays the others twice, once at their home ground and once at that of their opponents. However in those divisions with more than 12 teams, the competition is arranged so that teams play each other once. The top team in each Kutonen group is normally promoted or qualifies for a promotion playoff to the Vitonen. In the Helsinki divisions the lowest placed teams may be relegated to the Seiska. Supporters' Trust
In British sports, a supporters' trust is a formal, democratic and not-for-profit organisation of fans who attempt to strengthen the influence of supporters over the running of the club they support. There are over 140 supporters' trusts across England, Wales and Scotland and the majority of these are affiliated to football clubs, however trusts also exist for Rugby league and Rugby Union clubs. With government and with cross-party support, Supporters Direct was established to encourage the formation of supporters' trusts to promote democratic supporter ownership. Supporters Direct encourages these bodies to be formed as Industrial and Provident Societies (IPSs) and assists with their formation, legal and start-up costs. Veikkausliiga
Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name. Veikkausliiga was founded in 1990; before that the top division was called ''Mestaruussarja'' (championship series) since 1930 which was an amateur or semi-professional league. Between 1908 and 1930 the championship was decided as a knock-out cup competition.
