Sonsoles Ónega
Sonsoles Ónega Salcedo (born 30 November 1977 in Madrid) is a Spanish journalist, TV presenter and writer. Biography The daughter of speechwriter Fernando Ónega and Marisol Salcedo, she received a journalism degree from the Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid. She is the sister of fellow journalist Cristina Ónega. She started her journalism career at CNN+ and joined ''Noticias Cuatro'' upon the launch of Cuatro in 2005. In 2008 she jumped ship to ''Informativos Telecinco'', where she was parliamentary correspondent at the Congreso de los Diputados for ten years. In 2004, she started a literary career with her short story ''Calle Habana, esquina Obispo'', and followed it up with ''Donde Dios no estuvo'', based on the 2004 train bombings. Her greatest success came in 2017 with the novel ''Después del amor'', set in the Second Republic. La Sexta (; "The Sixth"; stylized as laSexta) is a Spanish free-to-air television channel. It is privately owned and was originally founded on 18 March 2001 as Beca TV that began broadcasting on 1 April 2001, that same year. By 21 July 2003, the channel ran into liquidation and was closed down, but two years later in 2005, it was replaced by a new channel called La Sexta that began test transmissions on 25 November 2005, and a year later, it started broadcasting officially on 27 March 2006. It is hosted and produced by screenwriter Pablo Motos. The show aired on Spain's Cuatro channel from launch until June 2011 and is now broadcast on Antena 3. CNN+ (CNN Plus) was a Spanish 24-hour television news channel. Launched in 1999 as a joint venture by Sogecable and Turner Broadcasting, a unit of Time Warner that owns CNN, it went off the air at the end of 28 December 2010. The management announced that CNN+ would be closed on December 31, 2010 because of low ratings and financial losses. The slogan of CNN Plus was ''Está pasando, lo estás viendo'' (It's happening, you're watching it). Telecinco is a Spanish free-to-air television channel operated by Mediaset España.
