Sutjeska National Park
The Sutjeska National Park ( sh-Cyrl-Latn, Национални парк Сутјеска, Nacionalni park Sutjeska, ) is a national park located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Established in 1962, it is Bosnia and Herzegovina's oldest national park. It includes the highest peak of Maglić at over , on the border with Montenegro. The Montenegrin part of Maglić massif in the park has also formed the Trnovačko Jezero (Trnovačko Lake). The Strict Nature Reserve "Perućica", one of the last two remaining primeval forests in Europe, is part of the park. The park is also famous as being the location of the Battle of the Sutjeska in 1943 during World War II. It is an affiliated member of EUROPARC Federation. Maglić (mountain)
Maglić ( sr-cyrl, Маглић, ) is transboundary mountain, on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The highest peak is at an elevation of , and is located within Montenegro, however, its twin peak, the most visited of two, is also second highest at which makes it the highest peak of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The mountain is oriented in a northwest–southeast direction. Geography Maglić is the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is bounded by the river Sutjeska to the west, the Piva to the east-southeast and the Upper Drina to the north-northeast, with Vučevo plateau () extending to the north. Rafting and whitewater rafting are recreational outdoor activities which use an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other body of water. Durmitor ( Montenegrin: Дурмитор, or ) is a massif located in northwestern Montenegro. It is part of the Dinaric Alps. Its highest peak, Bobotov Kuk, reaches a height of .
