''Survivor India'' is an Indian reality television game show franchise based on the Swedish show ''Expedition Robinson'' created in 1997 by Charlie Parsons. It is produced by Banijay India. Subsequently, the show was syndicated internationally and available through Zee5 OTT platforms. ''Survivor India'' was originally started in Hindi language in 2012 and it was later adapted by Tamil in 2021 after nearly 10 years later. Overview There are two versions in production. It was first made in Hindi-language in 2012. In 2012, Star India got the rights for producing ''Survivor India'' in Hindi and debuted in Star Plus. In 2021, it debuted in Tamil through Zee Tamil. Srinivasa "Arjun" Sarja is an Indian actor, producer, and director who works predominantly in the Tamil film industry, in addition to Kannada and Telugu languages as well. Referred to by the media and his fans as " Action King" for his roles in action films, Arjun has acted in more than 160 films, most of them being lead roles. Field Hockey
Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, synthetic field, or indoor boarded surface. The stick is made of wood, carbon fibre, fibreglass, or a combination of carbon fibre and fibreglass in different quantities. Vijayalakshmi Feroz (née Agathiyan;), is an Indian actress who has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. ''Survivor 1'' is the first season of the popular Tamil-language reality show '' Survivor Tamil''. The show is hosted by actor Arjun Sarja. The show was shot in a remote island in Zanzibar in the country of Tanzania east of Africa, with 18 celebrity contestants known as "castaways". The show was premiered on 12 September 2021 on Zee Tamil and uncut episodes were uploaded on Zee5. The season also featured interviews with the eliminated contestants on Zee5. The show ran for 91 days. The prize money for the winner was ₹1 crore (US$1,34,000). The elimination process of the show was similar to most other international versions of format, where contestants had to vote each other out.
