St. Evtimiy Crag
St. Evtimiy Crag (Sv. Evtimiev Kamak \sve-'ti ev-'ti-mi-ev 'ka-m&k\) is a rocky peak of elevation 350 m in Delchev Ridge, Tangra Mountains, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica surmounting Dobrudzha Glacier to the southwest, Ropotamo Glacier to the northeast and Yantra Cove to the east. The feature is named after the Bulgarian scholar and spiritual leader St. Euthymius of Turnovo (1327–1404). Yantra Cove
Yantra Cove ( bg, залив Янтра, zaliv Yantra, ) is a 560 m wide cove in the south coast of the Burgas Peninsula of Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica east of St. Evtimiy Crag, southeast of Asen Peak and south-southeast of Delchev Peak. Kuber Peak
Kuber Peak ( bg, връх Кубер, vrah Kuber, ) is a 770 m peak in Delchev Ridge, Tangra Mountains on Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. Overlooking Magura Glacier to the southwest, Dobrudzha Glacier to the southeast, and Iskar Glacier to the north. Named after Khan Kuber whose Bulgars left Pannonia to settle in Western Macedonia and Albania around 680 AD, and established a state that in the early 8th century AD merged with the First Bulgarian Empire. Asen Peak
Asen Peak ( bg, Аксенов връх, Asenov vrah, ) is a peak in eastern Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. The peak rises to 810 m in the Delchev Ridge of the Tangra Mountains. The peak overlooks Iskar Glacier and Bruix Cove to the northwest, Ropotamo Glacier to the east-southeast and Dobrudzha Glacier to the south. The peak was named after Tsar Ivan Asen I of Bulgaria, 1190-1196 AD. Delchev Peak
Delchev Peak ( bg, Делчев връх, Delchev vrah, ) is the summit of Delchev Ridge, Tangra Mountains, Livingston Island and rises to approximately 940 m. The peak surmounts Iskar Glacier to the west, Sopot Ice Piedmont to the north, and Ropotamo Glacier to the south. The peak is "named after Gotse Delchev (1872–1903), leader of the Bulgarian liberation movement in Macedonia". Location The peak is located at which is 7.2 km east-northeast of Great Needle Peak (Falsa Aguja), 3.2 km southeast of Rila Point and 7.6 km west-southwest of Renier Point. Patriarch Evtimiy Of Bulgaria
Saint Euthymius of Tarnovo (also ''Evtimiy''; , ''Sveti Evtimiy Tarnovski'') was Patriarch of Bulgaria between 1375 and 1393. Regarded as one of the most important figures of medieval Bulgaria, Euthymius was the last head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in the Second Bulgarian Empire. Arguably the best esteemed of all Bulgarian patriarchs, Euthymius was a supporter of hesychasm and an authoritative figure in the Eastern Orthodox world of the time. Early years Born around 1325 (between 1320 and 1330) and possibly an offspring of the eminent Tsamblak family of the capital Tarnovo, Euthymius was educated at the monastery schools in and around the city and became a monk. He joined the Kilifarevo Monastery around 1350, attracted by the fame of Theodosius of Tarnovo. Theodosius appointed him his first assistant in 1363 and the two went together to Tsarigrad, with Theodosius dying soon afterwards. Ropotamo Glacier ( bg, ледник Ропотамо, lednik Ropotamo, ) is a glacier extending from northeast to southwest and from northwest to southeast on the Burgas Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. The glacier is northeast of Dobrudzha Glacier, east-southeast of Iskar Glacier, south of Sopot Ice Piedmont and southwest of Strandzha Glacier. It is bounded by Asen Peak and Delchev Peak to the northwest and north, and flows southeastwards mostly into Yantra Cove, Bransfield Strait. The feature is named after the river Ropotamo in Bulgaria.
