Square Of Changes
The Square of Changes (also, Peremen Square; ''Belarusian'': Плошча Перамен; other informal names: "Peremen Square", "Courtyard of Change," and "DJ Area of Change") is the name of a popular courtyard in Minsk, Belarus, located at the intersection of Chervyakov, Kakhovskaya, and Smorgovsky streets. It appeared spontaneously in August 2020 during the protests after the sixth presidential election in Belarus. On the wall of a ventilation booth, unknown people painted a mural of two sound engineers from the (Kirill Galanov and Vladislav Sokolovsky), who played Viktor Tsoi's song " Khochu Peremen" at the official pro-Lukashenko event on August 6, 2020 in Kiev Square, Minsk. Since mid-August 2020, the mural depicting the sound engineers has been removed many times by public officials but re-created by local residents every time it was vandalized. Belarusian Language
Belarusian ( be, беларуская мова, biełaruskaja mova, link=no, ) is an East Slavic language. It is the native language of many Belarusians and one of the two official state languages in Belarus. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. Belsat ( be, Белсат; pl, Biełsat; stylised as B☰LSAT) is a Polish free-to-air satellite television channel aimed at Belarus. The channel is a subsidiary of TVP S.A. Dzmitry Baskau (Belarusian: Дзмітрый Юр’евіч Баскаў, Russian: Дмитрий Юрьевич Басков; born on August 25, 1978, in Minsk, Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic) is a Belarusian former ice hockey player and businessman. He served as chief of Belarusian Ice Hockey Association in 2020—2021. He is the chief of the ice hockey group of Alexander Lukashenko and also the chief of the HC Dinamo Minsk from 2018 to 2020. Raman Bandarenka
Raman Bandarenka ( be, Раман Бандарэнка) (August 1, 1989, Minsk – November 12, 2020, Minsk) was an aspiring Belarusian designer, and shop manager. His death is associated with the protests against the 2020 Belarusian presidential election. Raman Bandarenka died after reportedly being beaten by security forces. Police forces said they found him uncounscious and called an ambulance. According to sources, masked assailants in civilian clothing beat him up, in the yard of his apartment building, in the evening of November 11, 2020, in Minsk. Locally, this apartment complex is known as " Square of Changes" (Ploscha Peramen). Later, a minibus took him away. An ambulance brigade brought from the Central District Department of Internal Affairs (Police Station) to a local hospital. At the time the ambulance took him, he was unconscious.
